We have a choice of two Introduction courses, a morning course (09:00 to 12:50), and a full day course (09:00 to 16:00).

Both courses are perfect for anyone wanting to have a go at dry stone walling and your instructor will be a fully qualified and experienced dry stone waller. You can book as an individual or you can book a group.

The morning is a great taster course. You'll hear some fascinating information about dry stone walling, learn exactly how and why the dry stone technique is performed and then you'll build your very own small section!

The full day expands on the morning course and you'll not only enjoy more time to build your magnificent dry stone structure, you'll learn about how retaining walls work (ideal for garden terracing), how to carry out a repair of an existing dry stone wall and you'll see a demonstration of the use of a hammer and you'll get to give that a go too!

You won't leave either course a professional but you will have learned an awful lot, built some wall and had some fun!

The dry stone walling process can test you in many ways – some say it’s intolerably frustrating, others that it’s meditative and calming – what will it be for you!?
